The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence has launched a guaranteed income pilot serving 76 survivors of domestic violence (DV) with $1000 per month for 12 months. All participants are parents/caregivers of minor children and were housed in a DV rapid rehousing program when applying. Housing case managers were trained with financial coaching skills and participants have the option to request up to an additional $2000 during the course of the program to meet other financial needs. Participants can also opt into credit building education & counseling. The study intends to analyze safety and economic stability factors and other impacts of housing + cash + optional services on survivors of domestic violence.
