Cambridge Recurring Income for Success + Empowerment (Cambridge RISE) ran an 18-month guaranteed income pilot with a treatment group of 130 single (unmarried) Cambridge caregivers of at least one child under the age of 18. CGIR executed a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) to investigate the ways by which unconditional monthly cash assistance of $500 can be utilized to address the growing economic divide and racial inequities in Cambridge, MA. The RCT involved a control group of additional 156 participants with the same background as the treatment group. Both groups were randomly selected.
