The City of Los Angeles created the largest Guaranteed Income pilot in America: Basic Income Guaranteed: Los Angeles Economic Assistance Pilot (BIG:LEAP). BIG:LEAP provided 3,200 individuals with $1,000 unconditional monthly cash payments for 12 months. Participants were located throughout the City of Los Angeles but concentrated in Council Districts with greater levels of poverty.
