The Navigating Economic Stability Together (NEST) program is exploring the impact of a basic income on Grinnell families who are employed and have a dependent under 18 at enrollment. The 18-month program was funded by private donors and is administered by Greater Poweshiek Community Foundation. Located in the rural Midwest, NEST provides $500 monthly to 15 randomly selected households.
