Launched in April 2022.

The New Orleans Guaranteed Income Program was administered by the Mayor's Office of Youth and Families. The goal of the program was to support youth in Orleans Parish and help connect participants back to education and employment opportunities. The program provided 125 youth (aged 16-24) with no-strings-attached cash payments of $350 per month for 10 months. New Orleans was the only Mayors for a Guaranteed Income (MGI)-funded city in the country supporting individuals under 18. The project sought to empower participants with opportunity, freedom, and resilience to build financial security.
